Biodiversity of endophytic bacteria inhabiting corn

The article studies the biodiversity of endophytic bacteria inhabiting maize. Samples of maize tissues (root, stem, leaves) were analyzed, and many different species of endophytic bacteria were detected. These include representatives of the types Actinobacteriota, Bacteroidota, Bdellovibrionota, Desulfobacterota, Firmicutes, Myxococcota, Planctomycetota, Proteobacteria, and Verrucomicrobiota. The research findings demonstrate the significant role of endophytic bacteria in plant life and can be applied to improve plant resistance to diseases and increase crop yields.
