Influence of planting depth on morphological and biological characteristics of tilted marigolds (Tagetes patula L.)

The results of studies to determine the biomorphological characteristics of tilted marigold plants depending on the depth of planting are presented. Data on the main indicators are considered: plant height, number of lateral axes, leaves, buds, flowers, fruits, weight and number of roots, seed germination, vegetation period of deep-planted and control plants. It contains recommendations for improving the agricultural technology of transplanting tilted marigolds. It is shown that deep planting is a rational agricultural method and is of interest for the regulation of flowering, fruit formation of plants, increasing their decorative qualities without additional labour and material costs.
