Mathematical model to study the compressibility factor of biogas fuel

In the article, the authors consider the dependence of the degree of compression of biogas on such components as methane and carbon dioxide. For the theoretical calculation, the Redlich-Kwong equation was used, with the proposed calculation by solving the cubic equation. As a result, a compressibility coefficient equation for biogas fuel was obtained, from which the theoretical compressibility coefficients of biogas fuel for different compositions were determined. To determine the compressibility coefficients it was proposed to conduct a cycle of experiments using biogas mixture of different composition, and from the experimental data by approximation method to obtain a relationship that takes into account the two-component composition of the fuel. Taking into account the compressibility factor, a formula for the volume of fueled biogas was obtained by transforming the unified gas law.
