Grain yield of brewed varieties of spring barley depending on the level of mineral nutrition in the conditions of the Kostroma region

Under the conditions of field experience on sod-podzolic medium loamy soils of the Kostroma region, studies were conducted to study the doses of fertilizers and varieties of spring barley in the period 2020-2022. Optimal doses of fertilizer have been established for the use of barley for brewing purposes and for use for feed. The scheme of the experiment included factor A – varieties of spring barley (Vladimir, Kalkul, Laurika); factor B – doses of fertilizers (without fertilizers; N30P30K60; N60P60K120). The yield of varieties on natural fertility varied in the range of 2.14-2.36 t/ha, but the Vladimir variety was the most plastic in relation to meteorological conditions. If it is planned to use barley for brewing purposes, then the recommended dose of fertilizers is N30P30K60 and the protein content was at the level of 11.01-12.0%. Doubling the dose of fertilizers (N60P60K120) increases the yield of 59.1-85.5%z compared to the control, the protein content increases to 12.0-12.97%, this grain can be recommended for food and feed purposes.
