Polymorphism of the selective form of mulberry in the North-West region of Russia

Morus alba L. is one of the fruiting mulberry species. Morphologically, mulberry is a fast-growing deciduous, perennial tree with a deep root system, growing in Central Asia, North India, Afghanistan, Iran, the Caucasus, Turkey, China and many other countries. This culture is valuable because of the high content of antioxidants. The object of study is a selected form of mulberry from the park-arboretum of the BIN RAS. grown in St. Petersburg, the selected form has an average fruit length of 17.56 mm, a width of 10.21 mm, a weight of 13.80 g and a sugar content of 12.5 Brix. It was found that the variability of the length and width of the leaf is at an average level - 20 and 25%, and the length of the petiole is at a low level (17%). The leaves of 89% of the sample are lobed, and the rest with whole blades.
