Agrometeorological assessment of crop cultivation and measures for adaptation of the production process under climate change conditions on the example of Zernogradsky district of Rostov region

The article analyzes climatic and agrometeorological conditions of Zernogradsky district of Rostov region. The main trends of climate change in this area are highlighted and their impact on the growth and development of crops is assessed. The main limiting factor in ensuring their safe production process in this area are the moisture conditions of the territory, as well as the uneven distribution of precipitation in time and space. The tendency of gradual decrease of GTC for August-October and, as a consequence, increase of probability of occurrence of average dry periods at the time of sowing of winter cereals was revealed. Optimization of technological processes, under climate change in the given territory, should include measures for accumulation of winter-spring moisture, widely using anti-erosion agronomic techniques. Crop cultivation technologies should be adapted to the nature of current climate changes in order to preserve and increase crop productivity.
