The results of studies to determine the hourly fuel consumption and toxicity of exhaust gases of an engine operating on various combinations of a combustible mixture

When developing alternative fuels, one of the criteria is to increase the environmental friendliness of exhaust gases during engine operation. One of the options for reducing the toxicity of exhaust gases and reducing the cost of fuel is the installation of gas-balloon equipment (LPG) on a regular engine. Recently, the number of internal combustion engines converted to operate on such fuel has increased significantly, both in Russia and in European countries. Over the past five years, the number of engines equipped with LPG annually in the world has been growing by an average of 20-25%, Russia is in 12th place in the world. On most internal combustion engines manufactured in Europe, places for installing gas injectors are already provided and indicated. The main reason for the growing popularity of LPG is the savings on fuel, which is achieved by the extremely low cost of gas compared to gasoline. The presented article presents the results of studies to determine the hourly fuel consumption of an engine operating on various types of combustible mixtures and their impact on environmental friendliness.
