The importance of systematization of the results of particle-size distribution according to the data of the regional soil data center in the study of the characteristics of ordinary chernozems of the Northern Azov Sea region

The results of a study of the data on the particle-size distribution of ordinary carbonate chernozems of the North Azov soil region based on the materials of the regional soil data center are presented. The work was carried out in accordance with the hierarchical system of principles developed by the team of authors. At the first stage, we decided. with terms and their definitions, (for example, loess fraction – 0.05-0.005 mm). Next, the research area, method and data source were determined, then the quality of the data on the content of physical clay was checked, as well as the compliance of the parent material with the characteristics typical for the research area. The completeness of the data was provided by the analysis of literary sources, and in conclusion, having systematized and generalized the data obtained using a set of previous principles, synthesized new information: 90% of ordinary carbonate chernozems are formed on loess-like sediment, and the content of loess fraction in them is 39 ± 6%.
