Influence of changes in the physicochemical properties of soils on the floristic composition of the pyrogenic territories of the forest-steppe of the Central Russian Plain

For a ten-year period after the fire of 2010, three succession phases were established in the development of the pyrogenic formation of Betula pendula in the conditions of the forest-steppe zone in the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions. The first phase from 2011 to 2014 is a pioneer grouping, with a random set of plants and their disunity. The soils in this phase differed in fluctuations in acidity with its general decrease. In the 2nd phase of succession from 2015 to 2018, the complication of the structure of the phytocenosis was established with the approval of the forest phytocoenotype as an indicator of the beginning of the formation of the forest flora. Some acidification was observed in soddy-forest soils and leached chernozems during this period. In the third phase of succession, starting in 2019, further formation of the community continues. Comparing the flora and soil cover over a 10-year period, we note that a forest fire is not only a catastrophic natural or anthropogenic phenomenon, but also the creator of a new floristic diversity (2015-2018), forest renewal with physical and soil chemistry. In the studied soils in 2019, stabilization of pHwater values was recorded. almost at the level of background indicators. There is a connection between the dynamics of forest phytodiversity and the physical and chemical properties of the soil.
