The results of research on improving the efficiency of the use of wheeled energy vehicles on soils with low load-bearing capacity

One of the ways to increase the traction properties of wheeled mobile power vehicles in conditions of low bearing capacity of the movement surface is to increase the contact area of the mover with the soil. For tractors, the installation of twin wheels with well-developed ground hooks has found wide application. This method provides an increase in the contact area, which reduces the normal pressure of the running system on the soil and, as a result, avoids pushing through the upper bearing layer of the soil with an increase in slipping. For cars, the use of double wheels does not always give a positive result due to the fact that during the movement on soils with high humidity and stickiness, the space between the ground hooks is completely stuck, as a result of which the double wheels are a solid roller, unable to realize the coupling qualities. One of the ways to solve the problem of increasing the traction properties of an energy vehicle is the installation of low-pressure arched tires. At the same time, it has been experimentally established that the most effective result will be when using four-wheel drive vehicles of the KamAZ family. This will make it possible to maximize the power indicators laid down by the manufacturer in the design of the energy means. The article presents the results of research on the use of four-wheel drive KAMAZ vehicles on arched tires.
