Growing of red currant seedlings (Ríbes rúbrum L.) in containers using Osmocote fertilizers and OMU

The objective of the study is to determine the optimal fertilization option for growing red currant varieties in containers. In the experiment, were considered the reactions of the varieties Nenaglyadnaya, Rannyaya Sladkaya, Konstantinovskaya to Osmocote Exact High K fertilizers and organomineral fertilizers (OMU). To assess the effect of fertilizers, was used Analysis of variance (ANOVA). In varieties Nenaglyadnaya and Rannyaya Sweet, the largest volume of roots was obtained with the use of OMU (476 and 550 ml, respectively). The red currant variety Konstantinovskaya differs in a smaller volume of roots when using OMU fertilizers (406 ml), in comparison with the use of Osmocote Exact High K fertilizers (424 ml). The best result in terms of an increase in the aerial part was obtained in the varieties Konstantinovskaya (average growth length 39.95 cm) and Nenaglyadnaya (34.35 cm) with the use of OMU fertilizers, and in the variety Ranaya Sweet (36.46 cm) - with the introduction of Osmocote Exact High K. According to the set of parameters, it is recommended to use OMU fertilizer for fruit and berry crops.
