Propagation of promising varieties of black currant (Ribes nigrum L.) by wood cuttings using water-soluble fertilizers

Black currant is widely in demand in private and industrial gardening, as the result it is regularly necessary to solve the problem of searching the optimal way of propagation of this culture and obtaining high-quality planting material. Therefore, the purpose of the work was to study the ability to reproduce by lignified cuttings of a number of currant varieties. The method of propagation of promising varieties of black currant Selechenskaya-2, Sevchanka, Dar Smolyaninova, Yadrenaya was studied by the method of lignified cuttings using a complex of water-soluble fertilizers Aquarin 5 and Aquamix. It has been proved the reliable influence of the variety (the share of influence 16%), fertilization (14%), the interaction of both factors (35%) on the percentage of rooting of cuttings by the Analysis of variance (ANOVA). The volume of the root system and the growth of the aboveground part are reliably influenced only by the characteristics of the variety (the share of influence is 44% and 20%, respectively). The optimal option for obtaining planting material for black currant has been determined. It was noted that the highest rooting rate in varieties Selechenskaya-2 (90%), Dar Smolyaninova (83.3%) and Yadrenaya (93.3%) was obtained in the control variant, and variety Sevchanka showed the best result (96.6%) with using the complex of microelements Aquamix.
