Technical and economic efficiency of using an energy-saving LED electro-optical converter ESEP for monitoring insect pests

The economic efficiency of using the ESEB was determined on the basis of the conducted studies of the developed installation in the field. The studies were conducted between May and September 2019 and 2020. The loss of a grown crop depends on many circumstances. The general reasons for the loss of agricultural products could be attributed to the inconsistency of technology and machines with zonal conditions, low quality of equipment, non-compliance with technological regulations and conditions of its operation. The transition to new forms of ownership in the production process also determines other causes of product losses - insect pests. Regardless of which pest is concerned, infestation can significantly affect yield potential if crop density is not optimal (less than 79-158 plants per m2). Obviously, the lower the density of crops, the more thoroughly you need to deal with even the minimum number of pests. Reducing only the loss of agricultural products would significantly reduce its cost. Loss of products during storage - 10 ... 15%. The fluctuations are due to the level of technology, climate, personnel training. In Russia - losses reach 20%, and half of them are pests. When infected with insects and mites, the nutritional value of the product sharply deteriorates. Deterioration in the quality of products contaminated with pests is irreversible.
