Productivity of corn hybrids in various agroclimatic conditions of the Upper Volga region

There are results of studies carried out in 2017 and 2019 on sod-podzolic light loamy, well-cultivated soil in the Kalininskoye CJSC of the Kalininsky district and in the more northern part of the Tver region - Skopa LLC of the Sonkovsky district are presented. 7 maize hybrids were studied, including 3 foreign (LG 2195, LG 30189, LG 30215) and 4 domestic breeding (Cascade 195 SV, Cascade 166 ASV, Voronezh 158 SV, Voronezh 160 SV) in different agro-climatic conditions of the Upper Volga region. It is shown that the hybrid LG 30189 (France) is the most adaptive to various agro-climatic conditions of the Upper Volga region and the most highly productive, which forms a higher standing density for harvesting (64.3 - 78.6 t / ha), provides the yield of green mass above the programmed level ( 80 t / ha) - 87.5 - 88.4 t / ha with a share of ears in the yield of 27.8 - 51.1%, collection of absolutely dry phytomass - 21.3 - 22.6 t / ha. Of the domestic hybrids, Cascade 160 ASV is more acceptable for the Upper Volga region, which, under less favorable conditions in the northern part of the region, forms a yield of 45 t / ha of green mass with ears in milk ripeness, and on average for 2 years 58.8 t / ha raw and 14 , 2 t / ha of absolutely dry phytomass. Deviations from the average annual rate of average daily temperatures and precipitation intensity for most hybrids (4 out of 7) are accompanied by a decrease in yield by 20.7 - 27.7 t / ha, which must be taken into account when cultivating corn in the northern part of the region.
