Vegetation index of forest stands with abnormal branching

Based on satellite images, the vegetation index NDVI of vegetation near the city of Yalutorovsk in the Tyumen region for 2006-2020 was calculated. The objects of the study are subject to anthropogenic influence of the nearby federal highway. The dependence of the index on climatic conditions and on the intensity of environmental pollution is revealed. It was found that at the value of the vegetation index of 0.204, abnormal mutational changes appeared on the trees. The prevention of such phenomena in nature should be accompanied by a number of environmental measures. Abnormal branching can be used as a bioindicator for monitoring the state of the natural environment in areas that are exposed to intense human impact and economic activity.
